Basics Beauty of Face
Last year, more than eight-point-seven-million people underwent cosmetic procedures to enhance what nature gave them, or didn’t. But experts tell us that Americans may be jumping into invasive procedures too quickly.
Despite the media coverage of makeover reality shows, the majority of Americans are not looking for extreme transformations. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, most of us want to look better, naturally, with 68-percent preferring a subtle change. And experts agree that looking your best could be accomplished at home for considerably less.
Dr. Linda Franks, a leader in the specialized skin care frontier, says “To get that timeless, healthy look you need to start with an appropriate skincare regime. Taking good care of your skin can stave off fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and even dry skin.”
Where to begin? At the sink! Doctors say whatever your skin type, the key is to cleanse it gently. Avoid hot water and use lukewarm instead, to prevent over-drying. And throw in the towel – traditional washcloths are too abrasive for the face, so use your hands and fingers.
Sixty-eight-percent of women claim to have sensitive skin which means dry, tight, chapped or easily irritated skin. Dr. Franks advises moisturizing regularly and avoiding harsh cleansers with ingredients such as fragrances, dyes and preservatives because sensitive skin is easily damaged and takes longer to recover.
Clear Looking And Supple Skin
If you’re very active or under a lot of stress or you eat poorly or you’re exposed to toxins throughout the day, than you’re probably going to want to be closer to eight ounces for every 14 pounds of body weight. But if you live a really healthy lifestyle, drinking vegetable juices on a regular basis, if you eat fresh, raw organic vegetables two or three times a day and you avoid pesticides and preservatives as much as you can, then feel free to drink just eight ounces for every 20 pounds of body weight. The easiest way to get water in that I have found and that we found with our clients in the research center, is simply to have a jug by you at all times.
A gallon water jug or a half a gallon water jug is best. Keep it at your desk during the day. Carry it with you in the car. Keep it right next to your bed at night so that when you wake up in the morning you immediately begin drinking it. Read the rest of this entry »

The Facelift
As we age facial muscles weaken, and skin begins to sag. But just as gym workouts can promote the body’s youthful strength and suppleness, facial exercise – based on the same principles of dynamic resistance – can strengthen facial muscles. If sagging muscles in your face chin and neck are aging you beyond your years there is a way to reverse the process and make you look healthier, more vibrant, younger.
Facial exercise can transform your looks without cosmetic surgery. One thing facial exercises won’t do is cause wrinkles, but some people think they do. This is absolutely wrong. Properly done facial exercise most certainly does not cause wrinkles.
In fact, exercising the face helps to make women and men look younger for longer, by toning and tightening the facial muscles, just like toning the muscles of the body firms them up.
But, don’t make the mistake of thinking that all facial exercise programs are the same. Expensive devices will not give you better results. Electrodes are very hard to position properly and can be painful if you have sensitive skin.
Sagging, bagging and deep hanging folds in older looking faces are, caused by lack of facial tone. Exercising the muscles in your face is crucial to maintaining a young appearance. Beauty treatments with creams can’t lift sagging muscles. Read the rest of this entry »

Eyebrows
Eyebrows are a natural frame for the eyes and should be in proportion to the face. Perfectly shaped eyebrows will enhance the look of your eyes, your face and will accentuate your makeup while; ill kept, unruly eyebrows will hide the beauty of your eyes.
1. Pluck only from the underside of the brow in the direction that the hair grows. Don’t pluck from the top of the brow and chance plucking too much and losing the shape of the brow. You may also want to pluck any stray hairs between the brows. If you find it painful apply a lubricant before you pluck, preferably one that had a dulling effect like oral gel.
2. If you find your eyebrows are starting to thin use a brow color to fill them in using feather strokes, do not draw on lines in place of eyebrows.
3. Brows should be the same color as your hair or a shade lighter.
4. Your brow should start right above the inner corner of your eye. To determine where the eyebrow should start place a pencil against the nostril and line it up with the inner corner of your eye. Your eyebrow should end at a diagonal with the outer corner of your eye. To determine this, place a pencil at the side of your nose ending at the outer corner of your eye. The eyebrow should arch above the outer rim of the iris.
Be careful when you tweeze and if you are unsure go to a professional. Incorrect tweezing can ruin the look of your eyebrows and after a certain time the eyebrow will not grow back. If you do use a professional, keep regular appointments and don’t let your eyebrows get too unruly between appointments. Or, after you have had a professional do your eyebrows keep them in shape by plucking the stray hairs as they grow.

Cosmetic surgery is any surgical procedure designed to improve your appearance. Unless the cosmetic surgery required as a result of an accident, injury or birth defect is a chance the procedure will not be covered by your insurance.

Plastic Surgery
Although cosmetic surgery can change your appearance and give you the confidence to face the world with a brand new attitude, it seems not to change who you”really”is inside. If you were lazy and unmotivated before your new nose, you are still likely to be lazy and unmotivated after.
The most common cosmetic procedures are face lifts, liposuction, breast enhancement, ‘nose job’ and ‘stomach stuff’ but it is not the way to a cosmetic surgeon can do for you.
Cosmetic surgery is performed by a doctor who has undergone specialized training in either plastic or cosmetic surgery. When you choose a doctor to always ensure that they have been certified by either the American Board of Plastic Surgery (Plc) or the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABC). They should have the certification document in plain view in their offices. Read the rest of this entry »
